SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29 - The Festival of Lights opens for the month of
December. The Santa Claus Parade kicks off the festival . The parade begins at Glengarry Sports Palace at 6:30 pm and ends at the Island Park. Opening ceremonies of the Festival
of lights at 7:30 pm. Walk among the many displays and lite trees.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 6 - Sponsors Reception from 6 to 9 pm. Carollers stroll the park between 7 and 8 pm Wagon Rides from 6 to 9 pm take visitors through the streets of Alexandria. Enjoy the sights of Alexandria Winter Lights Celebration.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11 - Children can visit with Santa at Island Park
from 5 to 8 pm. Also get your picture taken with Santa by Picture

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 24 - CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER Don't spend Christmas Eve alone. Start a new tradition. Join us and enjoy an old-fashioned meal, music and fellowship Renew acquaintances, meet new friends and rediscover what the season is all about. Supper will be served from 5 to 7 pm at the Sandfield Centre, Island Park, Alexandria. There is no charge for this event! THURSDAY, DECEMBER 3 - A night of fun-filled Christmas movies and a Christmas bake sale to accompany. This event is for children of all ages, parents alike! 5 to 8 pm
MONDAY, DECEMBER 7 - We have a special visitor today! Mrs. Claus will be joining us to read us a Christmas story. Stories will be read from 5 to 7 pm for the little ones.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11 - Santa is coming to Island Park. Come and meet Santa and have your picture taken too! Christmas fun and games in Santa's Village. Canteen will be open from 5 to 8 pm.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 15 - Get your competitive spirit out! Tonight we are hosing a snowman building competition. Weather permitting though! From 5 to 7 pm.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 22 - Come to Santa's Village and build your own gingerbread house. Fun for the entire family! Houses are limited. First come, first serve basis. Runs from 5 to 8 pm.
